Project title is : ReDDDoT Phase 2: Inclusive American language technologies
Mozilla Common Voice (MCV) and Indiana University request funding to iterate a community-mobilizing, inherently capacity-building applied methodology for creating a series of crucial Natural Language Processing (NLP) datasets, predominantly optimized for speech recognition (speech-to-text), in under-represented American languages, sociolinguistic variants and accents. The co-creation process will have a strong focus on building the agency, skills, and knowledge required for communities to use their datasets and apply them within their own social and economic context.
